Empty Promises, like echoes in the wind,

Unreciprocated Efforts, worn & frayed,

Unmatched energy, which could not light the dark,

Meaningless words, like a hollow song!

Now silence speaks what lips denied. In the quiet, i have finally cried.

I find my peace, I will soon bloom again,

I promise the pain won't steal the best of me!!

Happy 10th My Sunshine!

I may not be a perfect mom, but when I see you, Anvi, I know that I have got something in my life perfectly right. Happy Birthday my sunshine! You are truly someone who makes this world a better place to be. 

If I reflect on the last 10 years, I can proudly say that these have been the best chapters of my life, because they’ve been with you, and with all my heart for YOU. 

We’ve shared so many firsts: Your first smile, your first words, your first steps, your first day of school & so many more…….And with each moment, you’ve taught me what love, patience, and joy truly mean. I’ve watched you grow from a curious toddler to a bright, funny, kind-hearted girl. 

Your imagination is endless, your laughter is contagious, and your questions, well, so many WHY’s—are a reminder of how curious you are & how beautifully your mind works. 

In the words of Jane Goodall, “you cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” Sweetheart, as you turn 10 years old, you're stepping into a world of even bigger dreams, deeper friendships, and exciting adventures - a mind that loves to learn, a heart that loves to give, and a spirit that shines wherever you go. And no matter where the road takes you, know this: I will always be cheering you on, every step of the way. 

Life will have challenges, yes—but it will also be full of joy, discovery, and love. 

My darling daughter, always stay the way you are - Kind. Brave. Honest. Strong. Curious.: Someone who lifts others up, stands up for what’s right, and never stops believing in herself. 

As you step into this new chapter—your "double digits"—my wish for you is simple: May you have a future, as bright as it can be —Simply because it has YOU in it. 

Never forget how deeply, unconditionally, and forever you are loved. 

And though you’re growing up fast, you will always be my little girl. 

Anvi, I can’t wait to see what you’ll do, who you’ll become, and all the magic you’ll bring into the world.

PAPA!!

Cheers to the best memories, to the warmth of your voice,  and the quiet strength you carried so gracefully. 

One year ago, you left for what seemed like a simple check-up, a routine part of life… None of us knew it would be your last journey from home. You never made it back — at least not in the way we prayed you would. 

Since that day, my world has felt quieter, the days a little longer, the nights a little colder. 

But your spirit still lingers in the little things, in the songs you loved, the advice you gave. 

Gratitude for the time we had, for the love you gave so freely, and for the legacy you left behind. You live on in our hearts. 

Today, we raise a glass —to the chai sessions & the samosas you loved, to the memories, to your last words, & to the love that never fades.

Life happened in those eleven years......

That says so much in just four words: joy, pain, love, loss, survival, transformation - may be all of it. 

The beauty of it all is that I can sit back and ,look at my journey until now and I am encouraged and invigorated.

Yes, I still have many lessons to learn. Yes, I will fail and fall again.

But I know this much: I will rise. I will soar.

Because life - with all its chaos and calm, is BEAUTIFUL!

A Journey So far....!!

I know I haven't updated this space in so many months.....months???...NO...YEARS!!! Its been 7 LONG YEARS....Phewwwwww!!!!! Let's say I was preoccupied....naah!! I would lie if I say so. Well, frankly, Pastel Potpurri  took a back seat...actually, I had forgotten about it as soon as Love happened in 2013 ;)  And From the last post till now, a lot has happened.....!!

Just a thought, when someone asks us whats happening, our standard reply is 'the usual'. It's strange that things remain same, our routine remains unchanged, however, when we look back, days - maybe months - or say years....loads seem to have changed!!  This has exactly happened with me.  

After getting married in 2014 to the love of my life, Deepak, we were blessed with a beautiful princess, ANVI and life has been a roller coaster ever since. Anvi is 5+ years now and each day she reminds me that yes life is beautiful!!! 

The usual home-office-home cycle continued. 

Its not the destination that matters but the journey that leads to it!!
I wonder who decides the destination in life. Who decides what the journey is going to be?

In the pursuit of happiness......Till I meet myself again !
